An artful activation at Harrods for Glenfiddich’s Limited Edition 29 Year old Grand Yozakura, a single malt whiskey which has been finished in rare Japanese Awamori casks.
The installation was in collaboration with French-Beninese ceramic artist King Houndekpinkpou , who also crafted the urns. We were tasked with bringing his and Glenfiddich’s vision of Japanese city nightlife and a reimagined Izakaya bar, to life.
Throughout the project we took our cue from the aesthetics of Japanese woodworking, especially those reserved for tea house carpentry, which you can see in the custom-made solid oakĀ over the bar joinery and sliding Shoji doors and dividers.
